Kelsey Chomistek
2016 Recipient

Completed her Master's degree in Medical Science, Joint Injury and Arthritis Research at the University of Calgary, and is currently a medical student at the University of Calgary.

The most difficult part of living with inflammatory arthritis as a student is balancing my student and ‘sick’ life.

I aspire to become a pediatric rheumatologist. The UCBeyond scholarship has given me the opportunity to focus on my health. I could remain competitive in my studies instead of struggling to balance my disease, medical appointments, volunteer activities, research, and work.
